CLUB HISTORY

BOTTESFORD Town FC was formed in 1974 after a place in the Lincolnshire League was vacated by Gunness FC.
The team's initial headquarters were based at the Dolphin Pub with football being played at Frederick Gough School.
Bottesford moved to Birch Park, their present facility, in 1983 which was jointly developed with Poachers FC, a Sunday League club.
The senior club experienced its most successful football in the early 1990s, winning the Lincolnshire League competition in 1989-90, 90-91 and 91-92, and the cup in 1987, 1888 and 1990.
In 2000, the club moved to the Central Midlands League and gained promotion to the supreme division at the first attempt.
After two years they found themselves again at premier division level.
But they stormed back into the supreme division with a third-place finish in the 2005-06 season.
And they followed up that promotion success by charging to the championship the very next season, accumulating a magnificent 93 points and scoring 118 goals over 38 matches.
Next season they will continue their journey up the football pyramid as they take a place in the Northern Counties East League division one.
A new changing facilities is under construction at a cost in tens of thousands of pounds, alongside a new 250-seat stand.
