Glanford Park was opened in 1988, replacing the Old Show Ground as the home of the Iron.
Costing £2.5million, it wrote Scunthorpe United's name into the history books as they became the first club to relocate to a brand new, purpose-built stadium.
It was given the royal seal of approval from Princess Alexandra as a Football League XI took on a United side supplemented by Kevin Keegan.
Three sides of the ground, which has a capacity of just over 9,000, are seated with the Doncaster Road End terraced.
Plans are afoot though to increase the capacity by a further 2,000 by adding an additional tier to the Doncaster Road End in what would be the first ever re-development at Glanford Park.
It is the 79th largest stadium in English football and Nottingham Forest's 1-1 draw in March 2007 yielded the record attendance - 8,906.
