Is Butler's replacement and he looks set to sign today. I can't say that I have heard of him before. Does anybody know what he is like? We have also taken a former Manchester United youth team product on trial. He is a left back and his name is Micheal Lea. Does this mean that Williams is leaving? I really think so.

Unfortunately my vast and superior knowledge of the game doesn't extend to Scotland so can't help you there. Sorry NAB.

Sounds okay but heard rumours he's fat, rubbish and slow.

Peace.

Chatting to Falkirk fans on the bbc 606 forum and they think hes a bit of a donkey!

Apparently he played well for the first season he was there but was rubbish last season. They did however offer him a new contract so he can't be that bad.

Time will tell i guess, im just hoping he wont turn into another seck/hobbs/martis.

I suppose it comes down to Adkins' eye for a player. For all Laws' fault, he seemed to know how to spot a player. The jury's still out on Nigel.

I will think positive and say that the Falkirk fans could be lying. I have heard that he is ok from some people. We will have to just wait and see him in action ourselves.

I agree with you on some extent. I have to say though to be fair Adkins tracked Beckford, Youga and Cork. Ok they were only loans but they were good players. Adkins has also made some terrible signings with loans like Seck, Ameobi, Logan etc.

As for Laws he had a mixture of decent signings such as Sharp, Keogh, Eyre, Forrister, Maclean etc. He also made some rubbish ones. Every manager makes some good and rubbish signings.

I just fear for Adkins a bit here as he isn't seemed to be backed up by the board with transfer money. I mean 50k for Gary Hooper says it all about our board. If another club comes in with an higher offer, I know our board will just sit back and concede that we have lost him. It was exactly the same situation that Laws had really but he managed to get some good players on the cheap.

The club have always ran on a small budget. It has bought success sometimes and it has also bought failure. I thought last season that the board should have spent more money on players. I mean we wern't that far away from staying up. I think we needed another 2 or 3 decent players. That's how close we were and I wish that the board were a little bit braver with money spending.

If that comment is aimed towards me hang on a second. We didn't sign Beckford last season for a start. Izzy would have been a good player in The Championship, but he had an injury hit season. He will be a good player at this level though. Hurst decent signing to start off but his form last season was poor and he had no confidence. If he can play to how we all know he can, he will be able to cope at this level again. Mccann good signing definatly and will be a good player this season. It's a shame that we can't loan Cork again. He was my player of the season. Hayes was played out of position far too many times. When Adkins decided to play Hayes up front he started scoring goals. Hayes will be a good player at this level.

Don't get me wrong Vern Adkins has signed some good players, but he also made a few mistakes which cost us our place in The Championship. I mean what were the likes of Wright, Horlock, Morfaw, Ameobi, Seck and Logan going to add to our team? I had good hopes on Horsfield but apart from the Charlton home match he was non existent.

I thought we were just a couple of decent signings away from staying up.

They might just say he is rubbish because he has left them. He can't be too bad if he has made over 100 appearances in the SPL.

I watched Morfaw in the reserves and trust me he was shocking. He never looked like getting into the first team even at League 1 level. Thats why he was released even Daws got frustrated with him. Thanks for your usual complaint as ever it's about a small thing. Grow up Vern.

To be honest I only saw Morfaw once and he looked to have something about him even though he was playing out of position at the time.

I will give Morfaw a bit of credit he had a good 45 minutes against Chesterfield. It's a shame that he picked up an injury against Lincoln. I just think his fitness was awful and that was months after his injury. He never showed any potential in the reserve games. I wish him luck in finding a new club.

I said he did well against Chesterfield when he came on as a 2nd half sub. He struggled badly in the reserve games. He never looked confident and he always seemed like he was lost in the middle of nowhere. We cudn't have a player who was playing like how he was. The release of the player from the manager tells me that he isn't good enough. Vern did you go to a reserve game when Morfaw was playing? If you did can you tell me what you saw good about him that I didn't see? Can I have a reasonable response in your next post please Vern?

I guess I can't get a reasonable response out of you. Oh well thats where your wrong anyway. Morfaw signed a year contract after the Chesterfield game I believe, therefore that makes your claim incorrect. Morfaw had no trail matches in the reserves he was our full time player when he was injured. I should know as I attended all home reserve matches. So before calling me a phoney why don't you check the facts first?
