History
THE Scunthorpe Scorpions were formed in 2005 and entered the British Speedway Conference League.
They finished eighth in their debut season in the league, winning their first-ever piece of silverware, the Lincolnshire Cup, against Boston.
They retained the same silverware in the 2006/7 season and went on to clinch an historic grand slam of Conference League titles.
They won the Conference Shield, Conference Trophy, Knockout Cup and the Conference League.
The promotion were accepted to the Premier League in 2008 and also introduced a new team, Scunthorpe Saints, to maintain a presence in the Conference.
